computer equipment: CPU, monitor, printer, etc

Hello! Our home was one of the thousands that was flooded in NEPA. Like many others we lost a considerable amount of our belongings. We are on our way to replacing many of the things we lost through gifts, donations and relief efforts.

The one item I’m having trouble replacing is a computer set up, most likely because it’s not inexpensive. I have a need for a computer and equipment because my children home school via a virtual charter school. My need for a computer is to help facilitate that. The computer we would need would need to be a more modern, up to date machine. Having an outdated, slow machine that would crash etc would impede the running of our school and my household. It would be a large source of frustration.

In particular, I need a desktop or laptop computer, a larger (ideally flat screen for space) monitor, speakers, keyboard (ergonomic would be so awesome!), mouse and all in one printer/scanner/copier (ideally one that allows me to feed several pages at once, instead of manually doing so).

I know it’s asking a lot, but some folks are able to rebuild computers, or find themselves with an extra one due to just purchasing a new one, etc. It never hurts to ask, right? =) Thanks for reading this post and considering my request.
