R3 Ops Mud Run and Obstacle Course

R3 Ops is the only mud run that gives each participant options! You can run, walk, or even crawl through this 5K obstacle course. All events except for one are untimed, so participants complete the course in their own time at their own pace. For those who are more into competition and truly testing themselves, we also offer an “Extreme Rogue” option with a military-style course. St Faustina’s Parish Festival

St. Faustina’s Parish in Nanticoke announces its Annual Homecoming Festival scheduled for Friday, & Saturday, June 21st and 22nd from 5pm until 12am & Sunday, June 23^rd from 4pm until 11pm. The festival will be held at the St. Faustina Grove , 141 Old Newport Street, Nanticoke PA, 18634.

There will be food, fun, games, & live musical entertainment by the bands; “Stealing Neil” on Friday, “Iron Cowboy” on Saturday & “Gone Crazy” on Sunday. A mass will also be held on Saturday at 4pm featuring the Polka Band, John Steven’s “Double Shot”.

Come out and enjoy the fun!

This is Mountainview’s annual yard sale to raise funds for their mission team. This year’s yard sale is timed to coincide with the White Haven Borough yard sale, so if you come down to White Haven you can hit our yard sale as well as many others throughout the town.

Northeastern Pennsylvania Bloggers will be hosting the 7th semi-annual Blogfest at Rooney’s Irish Pub, Friday April 19th, 67 S. Main St., Pittston, PA 18704 starting at 6PM. This is an informal gathering of bloggers, candidates for office, elected officials and anyone interested in politics or blogging. There is no charge for admission. Since it’s inception 3 years ago Blogfest has been described as the best political event of the season. No speeches are allowed and the rule is agree to disagree but don’t be disagreeable. Many local and statewide candidates will be attending.

Lag B’Omer Carnival

Lag B’Omer – A Day of Jewish Unity. Event will be preceded by a parade leaving the UHI parking lot on 3rd Ave.(Institute Lane) at 12:30pm. The parade will march to the Church St. park in Kingston and arrive at the event at approximately 1:15pm. The event will feature rides, bounce houses, miniature golf, carnival games, rock climbing, live music, Kosher concessions, magician David Darwin (from America’s Got Talent), a BBQ, and more! Entrance bracelets are $10 and include mini golf, rides, rock climbing, bounces and the magic show. Lag BaOmer—this year, April 28, 2013—is a festive day on the Jewish calendar, celebrating the anniversary of the passing of the great sage and mystic Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai. It is celebrated with outings (on which the children traditionally play with bows and arrows), bonfires, and other joyous events.
